EXPERIENCE: Project Management
- Coordinated the development of several web sites. This involved design, navigation mapping, building of interactive areas, and search engine optimization. Generated and maintained web site content.
- Led a team of 3 individuals to develop a website during a one-day marathon for promoting accessibility standards. The used only CSS for layout for faster page loading. Site improved the professional image of the organization.
- Established and promoted a successful 3-day long, annual conference held for the first time in San Antonio. The conference received international interest with over 140 people in attendance the first year and a 15% increase in attendance the following year for the event hosted in Houston.
- Managed a group of 10 individuals in planning the annual Consular Forum, a yearlong series of cultural events held to raise funds for international education. Programs included, opening receptions, movie previews, fashion shows, and cultural presentations. Responsible for overall planning and direction of all activities including obtaining corporate underwriting.
- Organized and led a business delegation of 12 government representatives and business leaders to Bangkok, Thailand to promote the Consular Forum US-Thailand Business Conference.
- Planned, promoted and coordinated a successful weeklong, annual, international conference, held for the first time in the United States. Traveled to Asia and South America to promote this event. The conference attendance increased by 30% over previous years.
- Coordinated one of the largest exhibits and opening receptions of Thai art in Houston. The exhibits were presented concurrently in two locations.
